New racegoers can expect a warm welcome at Carlisle. This friendly course is located on the outskirts of the historic border city of Carlisle.

Set in open countryside, the undulating course provides racing 11 months of the year with Jump meetings from October to April and Flat meetings between May and September.

The only dress code is in the County Enclosure. The dress code is smart casual. Shorts are not permitted.

• Viewing: From the Terraces of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Grandstand, the Winner's Enclosure and the Parade Ring are all close by and, of course, you can access the other Enclosures.

• Food & Drink: There's the Red Rum Bar, Paddock Bar, Champagne and Seafood bar and Silks Cafe . Snacks including roast of the day, baguettes and sandwiches are readily available. On the ground floor of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Stand you can eat and drink from the bar, grill, favourites or sandwich shop. 
  
• Viewing: From the steppings on the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Grandstand, by the rails close to the winning line, in the small stand adjacent to the main stand and on the Lowther Steppings above the weighing room.

  Available from the Tote stands or from the bookmakers in the betting ring.
  

• Parking
  With the exception of the trackside car park, all parking is free of charge. Trackside costs £10 per vehicle (£5 on family days).
  

• Disabled
  Facilities include disabled parking, viewing galleries, toilets and lifts. A disabled viewing platform is on the first floor of the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Grandstand. Premier Badges are required (at Grandstand & Paddock price) and a complimentary badge will be provided to the accompanying carer. There is also a viewing platform in the Premier Enclosure.
