Racing's headquarters is home to two of the premier racecourses in the UK - The July Racecourse and the Rowley Mile Racecourse.

 What to Wear

The only dress code is in the Members Enclosure.However people do dress up in the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure.

The spring and autumn months on The Rowley Mile mean world class racing on the "Course of Champions". The course can be identified by the magnificent Millennium Grandstand which boasts world class facilities. The Rowley Mile offers the ultimate flat racing experience along the most historic stretch of turf in the entire world of sport. This is where equine champions have been crowned for centuries.

Glittering highlights include The QIPCO Guineas Festival on Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May - where Britain's first two classic are run and is the kick start of British Champions Series, the Cambridgeshire Meeting at the end of September and the brand new Future Champions Day in early October.

Summer at Newmarket means the magical romance of the July Course, an oasis of sun dappled lawns, flourishing flowers and thatched roofs. The surroundings create a garden party atmosphere unlike any other racecourse, making it a summer favourite with so many people. While the Rowley Mile is dramatic and imposing, which befit the exceptional quality of its world class race programme, the July Course is more rustic and intimate making it ideal for its blend of racing, music, fashion and family entertainment.
The July Course still has world class racing at The Newmarket July Festival, when fabulous fashion combines with three days of scintillating racing to create the East of England's answer to Royal Ascot.

Newmarket Nights

For an evening out with a difference choose Newmarket Nights.

Offering an irresistible cocktail of adrenaline-filled racing action, a flutter on the horses, a glass of iced cold beer, Champagne or Pimms and an open air concert by a well known band or artiste.

These evenings really are a must for a great night out with friends, family, clients or colleagues. The racing gets underway early evening and concludes as night falls, immediately followed by the post racing, open-air concert. The bars remain open until the conclusion of the concert.

You should also bear in mind that there are a limited number of child admission wristbands available for each Newmarket Night, priced at £16 for Premier and Grandstand & Paddock Enclosures and £12 for the Garden Enclosure, limited to two per adult. Enclosure access will coincide with the accompanying adult's admission badge.

Child admissions for Newmarket Nights are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the limited child placed have been allocated, child admissions will be charged at the full adult rate, subject to availability.

The July Course hosts a series of family friendly Summer Saturdays, the last of which on the August Bank Holiday features the Newmarket Town Plate, the worlds oldest horserace which was instituted by Charles II. In 2011 Saturday 27th August will be the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Newmarket Nights featuring Peter Andre.

Premier

• Tickets: £22- £40
  
• Food and Drink: At the Natwest Rowley Mile course, options in the Stand include the Birdcage Bar, Millennium Bar and the Millennium Lounge which serves teas, coffees and light snacks. The Champions Gallery is a 380 seat restaurant with prime viewing. (Contact 01638 675300 for reservations). Finally there is the Bistro serving wines, champagnes and a selection of choices from light snacks to 3 course meals and the Cellar Bar. At the July Course, the July Restaurant and Bistro are both popular. There are also a wide range of bars, many of them open air.
  
• Viewing: With the best facilities, racegoers get the best view of the Winning Post and there is a balcony with views over the Winner’s Enclosure and the Parade Ring. You can also access all other parts of the course.
  
• Dress:Smart dress is required. Although jackets and ties are not obligatory, racegoers wearing denim, t-shirts and trainers will not gain entry to the enclosure.

Grandstand and Paddock

• Tickets: £16 - £25
  
• Food & Drink: At the Natwest Rowley Mile course you’ll find the Devil’s Dyke Café on the ground floor offering snacks and all day breakfasts, soups and sandwiches. There are also a wide range of bars including the Paddock Bar overlooking the Parade Ring. The Paddock Food Court offers a range of mobile catering units offering fish and chips, seafood, doughnuts, oriental foods etc. At the July Course, there are three bars including the Fountain Bar, a large indoor bar and betting hall. The Abernant Bar is a lively open air bar and food court and the Paddock Bar offers a collection of bars and mobile catering units.
  
• Viewing: The grandstand provides views of the racecourse and tickets holders have access to the ground floor bars and facilities of the stand. From this Enclosure it is possible to access the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure. 
  
• Dress:Racegoers in the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure usually dress smartly. Smart shorts and jeans are acceptable but bare tops are not.
  

The Rowley Enclosure

• Tickets: £5 - £10
  
• Food & Drink: The Enclosures offer a range of mobile unit food stands offering snacks and hot and cold drinks. 
  
• Viewing: Although furthest from the Winning Post, there are temporary stands to view from. However you are unable to view the Winner’s Enclosure or the Parade Ring from here.
  
• Dress:Casual dress is standard in the family enclosure. It is important to dress for the weather forecast and to be aware that some areas of the course will involve walking on grass.
