Set in the heart of the Somerset countryside, Wincanton Racecourse stages an excellent programme of quality Jump race meetings from October to May.
The course is renowned for its friendly atmosphere, its superb facilities and has been voted 'Best Small Racecourse in the South West' for 15 out of 16 years by the Racegoers' Club and a ROA Gold Award.
There is no dress code so just dress for the weather!
There is a 9-hole golf course at Wincanton racecourse which is open all year round. There's also a pro shop and cafeteria. Special golf and race day events can be arranged. Contact the racecourse for further details.

Premier
Grandstand
Course
- Tickets:
£16 - £22 (A Premier Enclosure Badge does not include access to the Premier Viewing Area. This is a facility only for the Gold Members.
- Food and Drink:
There is a choice of four public bars, three of which include a food service area, including the See More Business bar which serves sea food and the Stalbridge bar which offers homemade cakes, pies and seasonal dishes. There are also two restaurants: the Winning Post Restaurant which is new for 2007/08 season, an exclusive restaurant in the Hatherleigh Stand with the stunning views of the track and is directly above the winning post. The Kingwell Restaurant overlooking the paddock and with easy access to the Grandstand. (For reservations call: 01963 32344)
- Viewing:
The grandstand in this part of the course overlooks the winning post and has seating. You can also see the horses in the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure and access the other Enclosures.

- Food & Drink:
There is a choice of two bars, the Chasers Restaurant and numberous mobile units selling burgers and chips etc. The Chasers Restaurant will be open on a number of days throughout the season and can be booked for a private party of 20 or more guests or will be open as a restaurant with tables of 2-8 guests. The Badger Bar offers homemade cakes, pies and seasonal dishes.

From the main grandstand. You can also see the horses in the Parade Ring and Winner’s Enclosure.

There is a bar and food outlet serving hot and cold snacks.
- Viewing:
There is a grandstand overlooking the third last fence. There is also a car park picnic area overlooking the course. However, you are unable to see the parade ring or winner’s enclosure from this Enclosure.

This includes 17 days racing at Wincanton, a further 28 days racing at other course and a voucher book with discounts on guest admission. Plus a voucher for Somerset County Cricket Club and discounts at various local businesses.Cost: From £185 per year; from £350 for joint membership. For those aged 17 - 25 membership is £100.

On weekend fixtures, there is a free crèche for 3-8 year olds, ‘Jolly Jumpers’ amusements and bouncy castles.
- Betting
Tote facilities are available in every area with bookmakers situated in front of the grandstand in each Enclosure.
- Parking
Free unless you wish to go in the Course Enclosure (£6 for Premier Days)
- Disabled
There are facilities in every area. A disabled viewing area can be found in the Hatherleigh Stand in the Premier Enclosure and in front of the Grandstand Enclosure by the rail.
- Cash Machine
Situated adjacent to the Paddock next to the Tote Credit.
- Hospitality
